PERS REPRESENTS PUA IN SMRSC 2026

PERS represents PUA in the international conference on multispecialty robotic surgery at New Delhi, with Dr. Castillo (immediate past PERS president) as part of the international faculty. The convention showcased over 30 live surgeries, almost half were done as telesurgery with the new SS MantrAsana platform. SSmantra has over 170+ installations, reaching 10,000 surgeries in three years. The Philippines is one of the pioneering international adopters, with its first Mantra installation in JBLingad (represented by Dr. Raffy Lising).

SS Innovations (Haryana, India) developed the SS Mantra over three model iterations. The latest Model, the SSI Mantra 3, features an open console, modular patient carts with instruments with 7-degrees of freedom, a 3D 4K monitor vision system, and ergonomic surgeon hand control device and head tracking safety technology.

India serves as a model of democratizing robotic surgery, with over 170 local and international installations, and approximately 10,000 surgeries done in just three years.

The SMRSC 2026 (SS Innovations Multi-specialty Robotic Surgery Convention) ws held at the Bharat Mandapam, in New Delhi, India from April 9 to 11. The convention featured over 30 live surgeries, almost half were done over the new MantrAsana telesurgery platform. During the telesurgeries, renowned surgeons were sitting on the MantrAsana surgeon chair located at the convention venue, with the patients at various hospitals around the country.
